Twin Cities Maker and the MN Hack Factory have officially joined forces Wednesday after the MN Hack Factory signed a lease for a space in Minneapolis.
The two groups will formally be joining forces as one, names for the group and space are yet to be determined.
Congrats on finding a space in less than a year!
Hello fellow Makers!
Do you identify as a Do-it-yourselfer, maker, or hacker? Do you read Pop Sci/Mechanics or Make Magazine? Are you interested in meeting other people in the Bismarck area who like figuring out how things work, making things, and generally hacking things into other things? Well you’re in luck! You found the beginnings of a place to do all that and more.
This website was created to spark some interest and gauge the response for creating a hackerspace in Bismarck, ND. Now, it has been proven time and time again that sharing your ideas and working with other people can bring about results that few would have imagined. Hackerspaces provide just the right environment for all sorts of off-the-wall ideas to germinate and become something spectacular. They also provide a place to make new friends and learn interesting things.
Now, if you’ve made it this far and are still wonder what exactly a hackerspace is we’ll (ahem) let Wikipedia jump in.
“A hackerspace (from Hacker and Space) is a real place where people with common interests, usually in science, technology, or digital or electronic art can meet, socialize and collaborate.” - Wikipedia
If you’re interested anything from a full-fledged physical hackerspace to just meeting fellow makers for drinks or even have questions on what a hackerspace is, please make yourself known in the forum or email info at BisHack dot org
Hackerspaces.org is a great resource for information on the hackerspace movement and on other hackerspaces all around the world.
Thanks for your time and have a great day!
